Good morning, High Point.

During Fourth of July celebrations at Oak Hollow Lake, the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission advised boaters to wear life jackets for everyone, carry a type IV throwable device, and have a fire extinguisher—Master Wildlife Officer Philip Griffin warned that boaters caught operating while impaired could face arrest and that operators born after January 1 must complete a safety course. The commission noted that increased boat traffic and high winds contributed to higher risks of preventable drowning incidents.

Retail coffeehouse chain Caribou Coffee will open its second High Point store on Monday, according to a company news release.
