ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A house fire on the 1800 block of Drew Avenue in High Point is under investigation after firefighting crews responded on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. to a call reporting smoke from a kitchen fire confined to the stove—displacements were reported.  WXII 12

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Severe storms are expected in High Point on Sunday as a powerful system will bring gusty winds—possibly reaching 30+ mph—and a slight risk of tornadoes with two rounds of rain predicted. Residents should stay alert for updates and be ready to seek shelter if a tornado warning is issued.  WXII 12
