  • The Greater High Point Food Alliance launched the Fill the Gap campaign to raise funds for local food pantries as rising costs and a federal shutdown have increased food needs—SNAP benefits will be suspended on November 1 and a new website and app help people find free meals and volunteer opportunities.  WXII 12
  • Falling temperatures have prompted United Way of Greater High Point to launch its Gift of Warmth program that gives UL-rated space heaters to residents facing heating emergencies with a $25 donation. Donations will be accepted now through January 31, 2026, and residents in High Point—Archdale, Trinity, and Jamestown must show valid ID to receive a heater.  YES! Weekly
