- ➤ Allen Middle School set up its third free lemonade stand in Woodlea Acres Park — offering lemonade, chips, and resources to meet neighbors before school starts on Aug. 28. Principal Dwayne Jordan said the school will work with local universities to run mentorship programs that help students start the year strong. WXII 12
- ➤ Alderman Elementary hosted a cub walk today to welcome new kindergartners with literacy activities, calming exercises, and a backpack filled with books and supplies—families also left their fingerprints on a legacy wall to mark the start of the school year. ABC45
- ➤ Over 1,100 teachers visited the Teacher Supply Warehouse in just 11 days, and teacher visits increased 30% over two years according to the Guilford Education Alliance. The warehouse provides free classroom supplies to K–12 educators by appointment Monday—Thursday. WFMY News 2
