ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Officials reported that a collision occurred on Friday at about 4:10 p.m. on I-40 East between Lewisville-Clemmons Road and U.S. 421—two additional crashes happened on I-40 East near exits 190 and 188 and on U.S. 52 near Martin Luther King Jr. Drive with one lane closed as the State Highway Patrol responded.  WXII 12

  • Money mix-ups have left Triad families frustrated and searching for answers—financial errors are causing delays that stress household budgets and prompt calls for fixes, as affected families seek quick resolutions.  WFMY News 2

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents in the Triad are urged to fight the spread of the Spotted Lanternfly, first seen in Kernersville in 2022 and now found in Greensboro, Oak Ridge, Colfax, and Winston-Salem — experts say to kill the insects when spotted and scrape egg masses from trees in the fall to help slow next year’s invasion.  WFMY News 2
