  • The Guilford County Family Justice Center celebrated its ten-year anniversary on Friday with a community breakfast that highlighted its support for abuse survivors and honored Sergeant Philip Dale Nix, a police officer killed in 2023 (the event also presented an inaugural award to Paige Gilliard of the Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina).  WXII 12

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • High Point and Yadkin County Schools gained funding approval for infrastructure projects. High Point received permission to issue $40 million in revenue bonds that will be used for water and sewer system extensions — additions and capital improvements.  News & Record
