🚧 Accidents
Three firefighters were injured after a Summerfield firetruck overturned near the 4200 block Hamburg Mill Road shortly after 3 p.m. today—one was transported while tow trucks worked to right the vehicle and keep the road closed.
At 3 a.m. on Battleground Ave, a crash left two people hospitalized—officers said responders are on scene.

High Point firefighters faced staffing issues on Friday when Station 13’s rescue and engine units were temporarily out of service because several team members were on paid leave and scheduled training.
Robert Templeton of the firefighters’ union said the shortage led to extra overtime hires — a change that could slow fire response times.
