  • Today, High Point hosts Reel Nights at Oak Hollow from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. with the film Lilo and Stitch, while later in the week local venues in the Triad will offer live music, a symphony, karaoke, and a family Promenade featuring food vendors and children’s activities—providing a range of free events for residents.  YES! ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A jack-knifed tractor-trailer carrying frozen corn has blocked I-85 north in Davidson County—troopers expect the roadway to be cleared within the next hour with no injuries reported.  WXII 12

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • High Point Police Department is removing addresses and phone numbers from its police-to-citizen website to stop scammers—officers said they now plan to meet with citizens in person if needed.  WXII 12
  • Lieutenant Governor Rachel Hunt visited the Kid’s Appeal Learning Center in High Point to push for affordable childcare and better career readiness programs as she highlighted the urgent need for action—she explained that expanding Tri-Share programs and boosting community college childcare could help working families.  ABC45
