  • Triad drivers are seeing gasoline prices average $2.91 a gallon—the lowest before Memorial Day weekend in half a decade—and GasBuddy expert Patrick De Haan said prices may remain below $3 through Labor Day as oil production rises and consumption falls.  WXII 12

  • Wesleyan Christian baseball won its state championship with a walk-off single by Domaine Vann that gave the Trojans a 5-4 win over Metrolina Christian in game two of the NCISAA 4A series — marking their seventh title, while High Point Christian softball secured its fourth straight state title by sweeping the Lady Patriots 8-3 and 12-3 at Wallburg Baptist Church.  News & Record
