- ➤ Today, more than 100 local veterans are departing from Piedmont Triad International Airport on the first Triad Honor Flight of 2025—this free day trip takes them to Washington, D.C. to visit monuments honoring their service. WXII 12
- ➤ Community Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 3 at Mendenhall Homeplace, 603 W. Main St. in Jamestown—visitors can explore exhibits that feature the town's gold mining past, Quaker roots, and neighborhood histories while sharing their own stories. YES! Weekly

- ➤ A High Point man, Wayne Phillips, pleaded guilty to death by distribution after a 2024 investigation found a woman died from fentanyl toxicity, and he was sentenced to 67—93 months in prison. WXII 12
