- ➤ Today, city leaders held a grand opening for Legacy Ridge, a new affordable housing community in High Point offering 100 rental apartments for low-income families. The development features an outdoor rec area—playground, picnic shelter with grill, and a clubhouse with an exercise room and computer center funded by local and federal resources. WXII 12

- ➤ A recent Bankrate.com survey found nearly 85% of U.S. adults spend money on financial vices (including alcohol, lottery tickets, casino games, sports wagering, recreational marijuana, and tobacco), with nearly half doing so monthly. - ➤ Guilford County Schools faces expiring warranties on roughly 70,000 devices as the district plans a lifecycle upgrade that will replace one-fifth of Windows devices every year over five years and one-fifth of Apple devices every year over four years starting next school year—Rashad Slade explained the plan will cost about $9.2 million per year, meaning that if repairs exceed their surplus, students may lose access to their devices.
