ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Officials said that a collision between a school bus and a sedan at the corner of Bridford Parkway and Hornaday Road on Monday at 3:35 p.m. injured a student and the bus driver, who were taken to a hospital for minor treatment — investigators are looking into the cause. WXII 12
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Today, during National Crime Victims' Rights Week, the High Point Police Department and the Guilford County Family Justice Center join to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and elder abuse by providing coordinated services such as law enforcement assistance, legal aid, counseling, and community outreach. - ➤ A student was stabbed during a fight in a school bathroom at Glenn High School around 12:15 p.m. — a juvenile is in custody, according to the sheriff's office. WFMY News 2

- ➤ High Point’s annual jazz festival has announced its lineup featuring Grammy Award-winning fusion band Snarky Puppy — and legendary bassist Stanley Clarke, who will perform at the 2025 John Coltrane International Jazz Festival. The High Point Enterprise

- ➤ High Point has teamed up with the Guilford County Family Justice Center this week to offer crime victims access to essential safety resources - Police Chief Curtis Cheeks said justice is only half the goal while the mayor declared the week to honor survivors. WXII 12
- ➤ Starting May 7, travelers will need to show a Real ID—passport or another approved form of ID—to fly or visit federal facilities, the DMV said. Officials are expanding morning hours and offering Saturday walk-in services at several Piedmont Triad offices to help meet rising demand. ABC45
