- ➤ Prepac Manufacturing will close its Whitsett facility on May 2, laying off about 200 employees after naming it a key hub last year. - ➤ Triad's population growth slowed slightly due to sharply reduced immigration in the first half of 2025. Forsyth and Guilford counties saw slower than expected growth although overall increases remain strong. The High Point Enterprise
