U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon visited a north High Point charter school Monday to stress the importance of school choice nationwide + she said the visit underlined local efforts to expand educational options.

After winning their primaries, Senate hopefuls Roy Cooper and Michael Whatley held campaign events on Monday — Cooper in Greensboro promoted an affordability plan while Whatley spoke at Phoenix Academy in High Point about expanding school choice for families ahead of the Nov.
