Here's your local news at a glance for Thursday, the 26th of February.
Good morning, High Point.
🏘️ Community
The Beloved Magnolia Community Center has been a key advocate for civil rights in our community for 30+ years.
It continues to support local residents by addressing social issues across the Triad.
🎓 Education
A student at HPCA completed his Eagle Scout project by installing a bench built with recycled plastic grocery bags (1,000 pounds in total) in High Point.
The eco-friendly installation boosts community space and recycling efforts.
A tip line launched by Guilford County Schools over a year ago is being used mainly to share concerns about students' mental health — not to report potential violence.
School officials are reviewing the trend to better support those in need.
🏛️ Government
A Triad resident reported receiving hundreds of spam calls daily while the North Carolina Department of Justice explained scammers use spoofing technology to make calls appear local.
