- ➤ A winter storm warning is in effect for the Triad today and will bring a shift to icy sleet and freezing rain by Sunday as temperatures fall below freezing (with mid-20s expected Saturday morning and teens by night). Residents are urged to prepare and monitor road conditions. WXII 12
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ High Point residents are urged by NCDHHS to avoid using generators, grills and camp stoves indoors as a winter storm looms this weekend; use these devices outdoors and install carbon monoxide detectors (especially in vulnerable homes) to prevent poisoning. Gov. Josh Stein declared a state of emergency. ABC45
