Good morning, High Point.

Hawley was named HPE Citizen of Year for his service to the community — the award was presented at a local ceremony today.

In High Point, donations raised the Christmas Cheer Fund to $4,695, showing strong local support for the 2025 program.

The contributions boost efforts to brighten the holiday season.

Starting today, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will distribute 8,000 free radon test kits to help local residents check for radon risks (testing can prevent exposure to this odorless gas that may lead to lung cancer).
